Ammeter question

Post by T.Hanson »

Does my Fluke multimeter have an ammeter mode ?

If not, how much is one and where, how good it be ?

Maybe battery has slow drain. I can just swap one car to another, but checking doesn't seem too hard. If an ammeter isn't $250 to never use again.

No. Multi doesn't do Amps.

Google ammeters, see Sears $ 39.95. Easier than asking stupid questions here, wasting board space, and your time.

It all depends on what model Fluke. Even if it doesn't, you can buy a cheapie at Harbor Freight for under a five spot that will do up to 10 amps, which is perfectly adequit for checking small loads and drains. Even the fan blower or WW motor will be within range, just not anything to do with starting.
