Battery fur

Post by T.Hanson »

Why is one car's negative terminal constantly growing white fur, while two others don't ? Identical everything.

I dunno the technical reason, but I use corrosion prevention washers to prevent that. Worth it for a buck. You know, the red/green felt ones.

Grease the connection

Post by Blaise »

I apologize in advance for this being a motorcycle web page, but you will find useful information in it. I own and ride BMW motorcycles, so have much more experience with them than the cars...hence the link.

Basically, you should grease the terminals. I use a special no ox grease made for electrical connections.

This is written by a good friend of mine.
