Looking for examples of throttle actuation on motronic swaps

Post by 6erWebb »

Granted my car is a 6 series but its a 78... so you guys should have some applicable knowledge. Basically like the title says I put a motronic (85 535i) motor in my car recently and "made" a throttle for it using the original linkage on the motor mount and the l bracket pulls the cable thats attached to the tb.

NOW, ive searched and didnt find any other peoples examples. Im not too happy with mine so far, I havnmt started the car or anything but it feels spongy and none too sporty, so if anyone has any of their solutions Id LOVE to see them.

Thanks, -Webb

Yes mine is extremely similar to that, I used that as inspiration. Is there no one else who chose to think it out a bit more and get something not so flintstony?

I'll take a photo of mine. I built mine off the idea of the FAQ. Ended up using a throttle cable from the E28. Shorten your "L" bracket and use the long push rod from your firewall to the "L". Everything else is E28/B34 stuff.

Give me a few to get the photo uploaded.
