5 Speed Support Bracket Needed

Well, I am making good progress on the project after a summer break from the wrench. I found a 262 at the boneyard a few weeks back, put it in and am getting ready to start putting the head back together and get that installed. The short block/transmission combination sure goes in easy with a tilting engine positioner on the hoist.

While believing I was just going to bolt up the back end of the gearbox with the 4-speed support bracket and looking at a few pics in the FAQ page I have determined that the side lugs do indeed have a purpose on this car. Does anyone have an extra they would like to part with?

I have determined the correct bracket is likely from an E28. Sounds like a 002 Salvage call now.

Thanks Bob, my office is down the street from 002 so I just bought one with 2 new rubber mounts.
