Help! Where to buy Remanufactured Front Brake Calipers?

Post by canada karl »

Are the Cardone rebuilds any good? I'm looking for the four piston calipers for a 530i built in 03/1976. can't afford to pay $300+ and my old calipers dont look like good candidates for re sealing. There must be remanufactured ones out there somewhere?

I've used autopartswarehouse.com, carpartstogo.com.

A few years ago, for 528i fronts. Remanufactured original BMW, about $55 after core swap. I've seen since they come and go for availability.

I got a leaker once, but they bent over backwards to get it right. Free shipping, etc. If you do wind up with one or two, I recommend painting if orange surface rust color isn't your choice. The nice metal coating out of the box is a trick.

Last summer I replaced the rear calipers and the emergency brake cables. I was going to go through Napa but Autozone had free shipping anda better price. It was nice to find a parts store who did not look at you crazy about finding parts for the E12. Good luck with your search.
