Greetings all. I am fixing up the car to go on tour around the US for about 6 months. One of the things that needs attention is the output flange on the 5 speed transmission. It has a deep groove where the seal lip rides. I am considering replacing the part or using a speedy sleeve. I found part number 23211202746 very cheap online. Real oem shows this with a note "D=10mm" and an alternative part number 23211203061 with a note "D=12mm". My question is this... does D refer to the size of the bolt holes for attaching the flex disc? My e12 is a 2/1981 528i. Any illuminating input will be much appreciated.
Thanks!
5 Speed output flange 10mm or 12mm?
That would be the bolt holes, very early cars like 2800 Bavs were 10MM, later ones have been 12MM.
