Mirror Questions

Im trying to get paint matching side mirrors for my car. My question is will side mirrors from other models fit? I.E. E34 or E30?

E28s do, E21s do but none of them were painted, and I think E30s do, but that one I'm less sure about. All this is assuming you have a 80-81 with the black plastic mirrors, not the chrome on earlier ones.

Yes I have a 81. Im looking for white side mirrors to match my car. I guess I could always paint the one I have already. I found a nice set from a early E34 to bad they wouldnt fit

I'm not sure, but, I don't think you'll find a white set.
I believe, regardless of the body color, the '80 & '81 mirrors were black.

I know the E12 mirrors are black however in the mid 80s there were color'd mirrors. E30's in particular often came with matching paint side mirrors. If the E30 mirrors do fit it wont be very difficult to find a white set

Something like this, its off of a E34 but the design seems identical

Late E28s, 87/88 I think it was had body colored mirrors.
