I have an 80 528i and it hasn't been running for four or five years, It needed a clutch so I pulled the transmission and replaced the pilot bearing, clutch disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing, and clutch hoses, master and slave cylinders and about a thousand other things it needed after sitting in ...

finally figured it out. Yay!!

So, I fought this problem long enough and got to thinking the tach wire connects there in line with the signal wire, so I pulled the cluster out and OMG there was so much shit(literally) and rat fur(or is it hair) and little pieces of cactus, I started digging and it filled up one small garbage can ...

I am trying to trace the trigger wire, which I am figuring is the single lead coming out of the ECU. As I'm checking continuity on that wire, (starting at the coil negative) it is showing continuity all through any ground on the car?is this the way your cars are? If someone can check for me That'd ...

Not sure if that would work, but I'm not getting a light out of the noid injector pulse tester light, so even if they are stuck shut, and they became open or operational, there is no pulse to trigger them. I am working all weekend so haven't had time to mess with it, but ...

A Little Help Here Please!!!!

Ok, so where are all the helpers? After reading so many posts where people were so helpful, I am kind of shocked at the minimal help I've been receiving on my, what seems like should be a small, problem here.
